Southern Comfort

Southern Comfort is an original watercolor by Pawleys Island artist Vida Miller, celebrating the quiet elegance of one of the South’s most iconic plants—the cotton bloom.

Painted with soft, expressive brushwork, the single cotton flower rises gently against a clean background, its pale petals unfolding above warm burgundy stems and subtle golden tones. Vida’s loose watercolor technique gives the bloom a sense of movement and light while keeping the composition simple and timeless.
