Stone Crab Claws

Sale price$700.00

An original linocut reduction by local artist Laurie McIntosh, Stone Crab Claws is a bold, vibrant celebration of coastal flavor. With layered shades of coral, peach, and inky black, the image captures a feast of shellfish rendered in Laurie’s signature expressive style. Framed and matted, it’s both playful and sophisticated—perfect for any Lowcountry kitchen or seafood lover’s space.

Linocut reduction is a relief printing method in which the artist carves a reverse image into a single block of linoleum. After each color layer is printed, more of the block is carved away—meaning the image is built up in stages, but cannot be reprinted once complete. This high-stakes method is sometimes nicknamed "suicide printing," resulting in a final edition that is both small and highly original.

Cotton paper.
