Stick House Beach
Cheerful, quirky, and full of coastal character—Stick House Beach is an original linocut print by Laurie McIntosh featuring a row of whimsical beach cottages in a rainbow of pastels. With playful lines and bold pops of color, each house feels like it has its own personality (and a great view of the ocean). Birds soar, breezes blow, and the whole scene captures the joyful, sun-soaked spirit of life at the shore.
Perfect for beach houses, happy walls, or anyone who dreams in color.
Linocut reduction is a relief printing process in which the artist carves a reverse image in a block of linoleum. The image is inked in single color and printed on paper. The artist then carves an additional layer, applies a different color, and prints again. The process is repeated until all color layers are applied. Because the process does not allow an artist to adjust a prior layer, the process is sometimes referred to as "suicide printing."
