Linocut is a relief printmaking technique in which an image is carved into the surface of a sheet of linoleum. The areas that are cut away do not receive ink and therefore do not appear in the final print. The remaining raised surface — the image itself — is rolled with ink, then pressed onto paper or fabric, either by hand or with a press.

Each print is considered an original work of art, hand-pulled from a block individually carved by the artist. Even within a limited edition, subtle variations in ink, pressure, and alignment make every impression one of a kind. Though multiple prints may come from the same block, no two are ever truly identical. Each carries the quiet marks of the process — the texture of the ink, the rhythm of the hand, the delicate shift of paper — making every piece an original in its own right.
