Flat Fred in Lemon is an original signed reduction linocut by South Carolina artist Laurie Brownell McIntosh, transforming one of the Lowcountry's most recognizable fish into a bold, contemporary work of art. Printed in layered golden yellow, ochre, amber, and warm brown inks, this iconic flounder reflects the sunlit marshes, sandy shorelines, and golden light that define life along the South Carolina coast.

Created using the traditional reduction linocut process, every layer of color is hand printed from the same carved block before additional sections are permanently removed. Because the block is gradually carved away throughout the printing process, it cannot be reused once the edition is complete. The result is a true original work of printmaking—each impression is hand-pulled, signed by the artist, and part of a limited edition that can never be reproduced.
