Inlet Clams

Sale price$425.00

A celebration of coastal bounty, Inlet Clams is an original linocut print by Laurie McIntosh, rendered in layered shades of indigo, navy, and sky blue. A heaping pile of clams fills the frame, framed by the curve of a colander. Rich with texture and rhythm, this print is a love note to Lowcountry living, salty hands, and seafood fresh from the water.

Perfect for kitchens, seafood lovers, or anyone who finds beauty in the everyday harvest.

Linocut reduction is a relief printing process in which the artist carves a reverse image in a block of linoleum. The image is inked in single color and printed on paper. The artist then carves an additional layer, applies a different color, and prints again. The process is repeated until all color layers are applied. Because the process does not allow an artist to adjust a prior layer, the process is sometimes referred to as "suicide printing."

Cotton paper.
