Susan Moore

Susan, a native of Orangeburg, has always had a love for art and an eye for color and texture. Though she grew up in an artistic environment, it wasn’t until she painted a few pieces to brighten the blank walls of her husband’s office that she truly felt the tug to embrace her artistic calling. What began as a personal project quickly gained momentum—people began asking to purchase her work, and soon commissions followed. Her living room became an art studio, a creative hub at the heart of family life. Now, with a dedicated studio space in her garage, she can fully immerse herself in her art without having to clear the dining table for family meals.

Susan works primarily with acrylic and oil paints, using brushes and palette knives to create vibrant landscapes, still lifes, and abstract pieces. Her paintings come to life through bold shapes, expressive colors, and rich contrasts of light and dark. Inspired by the beauty of God’s natural world, her work reflects a joyful, intuitive spirit—sometimes orderly, sometimes spontaneous.

Today, Susan lives in Georgetown with her husband, Rion, and their three daughters. When she’s not painting, she enjoys cooking, spending time with family, and taking long walks around town. Her bold, joyful artwork now graces homes throughout the Lowcountry and beyond.
