Flo Phillips
Affectionately known as “Miss Flo,” Floride Miller Phillips is a lifelong educator, mentor, and creative spirit with a deep love for the Lowcountry. Her artistic journey is rooted in the same warmth, whimsy, and storytelling that have shaped her decades of work with children.
Miss Flo finds inspiration in the natural beauty of Pawleys Island, where she’s spent much of her life surrounded by family, friends, and a lively household of pets—including five dogs, two cats, and a brood of hens and chicks. Her paintings reflect her joyful outlook and deep appreciation for the world around her—capturing coastal scenes, everyday wonders, and moments of quiet delight with color and charm.
Now sharing her artwork with the public, Miss Flo brings the same heart and imagination to her canvases that she’s shared with generations of students and families.
