The 2026 Georgetown Wooden Boat Show poster is here—and this year’s artwork is by Vida Miller, local artist, force of nature, and founder of Gray Man Gallery.

Created for the 37th Annual Georgetown Wooden Boat Show, Miller’s vibrant artwork celebrates one of the most storied pieces of Georgetown’s working waterfront: the historic Cathou Fish House. With its weathered wooden exterior, hand-painted sign and colorful boat pulled up out front, the scene captures a piece of Georgetown maritime history that has all but disappeared from the modern waterfront.

The Fish House belonged to Capt. Rene Cathou, a legendary Georgetown fish dealer and market operator often remembered as the “King of Caviar.” During the height of Georgetown’s caviar trade, Cathou became one of the waterfront’s most recognizable figures, and his Fish House was part of a thriving local seafood industry built around the rivers and waters that have shaped Georgetown for generations.

Vida Miller brings that history to life in the rich, expressive color for which her work is known. Brilliant reds, deep burgundies and vivid blues transform the old Fish House and wooden boat into something that feels at once historic and unmistakably Vida—a celebration not simply of a building, but of Georgetown’s enduring relationship with the water.

For Gray Man Gallery, this year’s poster is especially meaningful. Vida founded Gray Man Gallery in 1980, beginning a Pawleys Island institution that has spent more than four decades championing South Carolina artists and the art of the Lowcountry. To now offer a Georgetown Wooden Boat Show poster featuring artwork by Gray Man Gallery’s own founder makes the 2026 edition particularly close to home. Each 2026 Georgetown Wooden Boat Show poster available through Gray Man Gallery is personally signed by Vida Miller, making it a special keepsake from the 37th annual show and a piece of Georgetown, South Carolina history in its own right.

Best of all, proceeds from the sale of each poster go directly to the South Carolina Maritime Museum, supporting the museum and its work preserving and sharing the maritime history of Georgetown and the surrounding region.

The 37th Annual Georgetown Wooden Boat Show takes place October 17 & 18, 2026, along the waterfront at Front and Broad Streets in historic downtown Georgetown, South Carolina.

Available at Gray Man Gallery in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
