Floundahs 'n Poundahs
Floundahs 'n Poundahs is an original mixed media artwork by Charleston artist Nick Kawczynski that perfectly captures the humor, culture, and character of life on the South Carolina coast.
Created on a reclaimed Natural Light beer box, the piece features hand-painted flounder surrounding the familiar blue-and-white packaging. Equal parts fishing story, Lowcountry nostalgia, and found-object art, the work transforms an everyday piece of discarded cardboard into something playful, unexpected, and entirely unique.
Nick's work is rooted in reuse and reinvention. Many of his pieces begin with found materials that would otherwise be discarded, allowing him to create artwork that feels both environmentally conscious and deeply connected to the places and experiences that inspire him. Here, a humble beer box becomes the backdrop for a celebration of coastal fishing culture, where a cooler full of fish and a cold beer often go hand in hand.
Professionally framed in a rich navy blue frame, Floundahs 'n Poundahs arrives ready to hang and display.
