Catties 'n Nattys

Catties 'n Nattys is an original mixed media artwork by Charleston artist Nick Kawczynski that celebrates the humor, creativity, and unmistakable character of Lowcountry life.

Created on a reclaimed Natural Light beer box, the piece features hand-painted catfish swimming across the familiar blue-and-white packaging. Equal parts fishing tale, Southern nostalgia, and found-object art, the work transforms an everyday piece of discarded cardboard into something playful, unexpected, and completely one of a kind.

Nick's artwork is rooted in reuse and reinvention. Many of his creations begin with found materials that would otherwise be discarded, allowing him to create pieces that are both environmentally conscious and deeply connected to the places, traditions, and outdoor experiences that inspire him.
