Live Oak Dyptich II

Sale price$850.00

Live Oak Diptych II by artist Elizabeth Sheats offers a quieter, more singular moment within the Lowcountry landscape—a lone live oak stretching outward over the water, its branches softened with Spanish moss and layered in cool, coastal hues. The composition feels open and expansive, with the shoreline curving gently beneath the tree and dissolving into soft blues and greens.

Elizabeth’s palette leans airy and atmospheric here, with fluid, painterly strokes that capture shifting light across water and marsh. The subtle variation in color—teals, seafoam, and muted lavenders—gives the piece a sense of calm movement, evoking those still, reflective moments along Pawleys Island creeks and inlets.

This original acrylic painting is gallery wrapped with fully painted edges, allowing it to be displayed unframed for a clean, modern presentation. While it stands beautifully on its own, it was created as the companion to Live Oak Diptych I. Displayed together, the two pieces form a cohesive, panoramic Lowcountry scene that can be hung horizontally or vertically for a more dramatic installation.

Whether collected individually or as part of the full diptych, Live Oak Diptych II brings a fresh, contemporary take on a classic Southern subject—available at Gray Man Gallery in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, where we’ve been showcasing local artists and custom framing since 1980.
