Cape Bod

Sale price$65.00

Cape Bod is a one-of-a-kind mixed media artwork by Charleston artist Nick Kawczynski created on a reclaimed Cape Cod potato chip box. Inspired by summers spent on Cape Cod, the piece playfully reimagines the familiar snack bag as a beach scene, transforming everyday packaging into colorful coastal art.

Hand-painted with acrylic and spray paint, the artwork features a relaxed beachgoer lounging across the chip bag in a tongue-in-cheek celebration of summer traditions, salty air, and long afternoons by the water. Bright colors and bold linework give the piece a playful energy while highlighting Nick's ability to find artistic potential in overlooked materials.

Much of Kawczynski's work begins with found and repurposed objects, reflecting his commitment to sustainability and creative reuse. Rather than starting with a blank canvas, he builds new stories from materials that have already lived a life of their own, giving discarded objects a second chance as original works of art.

Professionally matted to fit a standard 8x10 frame, Cape Bod is ready for easy display. We carry a selection of ready-made 8x10 frames at Gray Man Gallery, making it simple to take this one-of-a-kind artwork home and enjoy immediately.

Materials: Acrylic, spray paint, and reclaimed cardboard.
